DESCRIPTION
PHotoESPAÑA is the International Festival of Photography and Visual Arts that has been held since 1998 in Madrid. Each year attracts more than one million people, a figure that makes it one of the largest cultural events held in Spain.
Parallel to the exhibition program, programs for professionals as Campus PHE (offers workshops the opportunity to learn and work with outstanding professionals internationally photography and visual arts), PHE (brings together emerging photographers develop with curators, curators, gallery owners and international editors) and Encuentros PHE (space for debate where creators and specialists analyze the situation of photography).
The festival also organizes programs and activities of a pedagogical nature aimed at new audiences. Educational programs bring photography and visual arts closer to students in secondary schools. Photography workshops familiarize children and young people with the world of photography and visual language. Guided tours and family workshops allow the general public to delve into the authors, times and trends of scheduled exhibitions. And PHotoESPAÑA on the street opens the possibility for the general public to participate actively in the festival.
