Jingna is a fashion, beauty, and fine art photographer based in New York City.

Born 1988 in the suburbs of Beijing to a sporting family, Jingna moved to Singapore at the age of 8, where she grew up exploring anime, fantasy art and piano.

After joining a Japanese rock cover band in her early teens, Jingna became interested in visual aspects of the genre and left her education at the prestigious Raffles Girls’ School to study fashion design. During this time, she represented Team Singapore in air rifle shooting—breaking a record at the 5th Commonwealth Shooting Championships in Melbourne and ranking 18th at the 2005 World Cup in Changwon, Korea.

In the following years, Jingna discovered photography at art school. She eventually dropped out to pursue her passion for image-creation full-time. By 20, she had worked with Harper’s Bazaar Singapore, Mercedes Benz and Ogilvy & Mather Taiwan, and published her first photobook, “Something Beautiful". In 2012, Jingna moved to New York, and since then, her work has been featured on international editions of Vogue, Elle, and Harper’s Bazaar.

Jingna was awarded Photographer of the Year at Elle Awards Singapore 2011, and was a recipient of the 7th Julia Margaret Cameron Award for Women Photographers. Jingna's current projects include artistic portrait photography at Learn Squared, the Motherland Chronicles artbook, and the chronicling of her processes on Patreon.

In her free time Jingna enjoys trying and learning new things, cooking, Reddit, Gundam and Hacker News.
