Huxley-Parlour Gallery was founded in London in 2010. The gallery’s vibrant exhibition programme focuses on artists working with photography who have played a significant role in the History of Art, and those who continue to shape the field in the present day.

Formerly Beetles+Huxley, Giles Huxley-Parlour co-founded the gallery in 2010 in response to the growing market for photography in London. In 2017 he became sole proprietor, and the gallery was renamed Huxley-Parlour Gallery. Giles studied History of Art at University College London, and regularly lectures on photography, collecting and the current market.

Based in a beautiful space in Mayfair designed by AAVA architects, Huxley-Parlour Gallery now represents 20 influential photographers and estates, and holds upwards of ten exhibitions per year, as well as participating in leading international art fairs.

Since opening, the gallery has presented exhibitions by leading artists including Alec Soth, Joel Sternfeld, Cecil Beaton, Bruce Davidson, Edward Weston, Joel Meyerowitz, Sebastião Salgado, Steve McCurry, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Wang Qingsong, Berenice Abbott, Bill Brandt, Vivian Maier and Ruud van Empel. This diversity exemplifies the gallery’s commitment to presenting important and influential photography from across the history of the medium.

Huxley-Parlour Gallery is popular amongst collectors for both its friendly, welcoming atmosphere and its engaging, educational approach. The gallery is devoted to providing an enjoyable and stimulating platform for photography, regularly publishing erudite exhibition catalogues and running an engaging educational programme that includes curator-led museum tours, artist-interviews and lectures. In January 2015 the gallery was named a "Brand of Tomorrow" by the prestigious Walpole group in recognition of its ongoing promotion of photography in London.

Alongside its exhibition programme, the gallery also trades significantly on the secondary market, maintaining a wide range of stock by photographic masters from Edward Steichen to Irving Penn. This material can be viewed in person at the gallery on request, or online using the Print Room tab above.

Huxley-Parlour Gallery is a member of The Society of London Art Dealers (SLAD) and the Association of Independent Photographic Art Dealers (AIPAD).
