Fundación MAPFRE Bárbara de Braganza Exhibition Hall
To underline our commitment to photography, we have devoted space to this artistic discipline in our exhibition rooms on Calle Bárbara de Braganza, on the ‘Paseo del Arte’, the main museum thoroughfare of Madrid. This space is divided into two separate floors of 868 m2 where every year we organize four photography exhibitions of renowned masters and well-established contemporary photographers. The photography program did not start until 2008 with Walker Evans, since when our exhibition rooms have hosted such illustrious names as Lewis Hine, Lisette Model, Cartier-Bresson and Paul Strand, as well as photographers such as Fazak Sheikh, Ana Malagrida, Lynne Cohen and Stephen Shore.

The Art Walk thus has a venue specialising in photography to complement the city's other cultural attractions. Comprising a total of 868 square metres on two separate floors, it is located near the Foundation's Sala Recoletos and opposite the National Library. Each year it hosts four exhibitions by photographers of recognised international standing.

With more than 40 years of experience, we are recognized as a leading global foundation for our commitment to people's well-being and social progress. Our mission, as a non-profit institution created by MAPFRE, is to contribute to improving people's quality of life and the progress of society through multinational programs and activities.

Fundación MAPFRE is fully aware of the fact that only by understanding the new realities of this changing world will we be able to move forward with this global project which is structured around different areas of action. To achieve our goals, we organize a wide range of activities worldwide in five key areas that all share a common objective: our ethical commitment to society.
